Bradford Art Studios are housed in Unit 8 on the ground floor of Keighley Business Centre, Knowles Mill on South Street – just a ten minute walk from Keighley town centre. Established in 1990, the Studios have been based in Keighley since 2005.
There are 15 studios, and the studio holders operate as an unincorporated collective. This means that all members are expected to contribute to and take responsibility for the smooth running of the Studios. Members share the running costs of the Unit, which is run with as few overheads as possible to keep the costs to the artists as low as possible.
Our members work across a wide range of art forms - painting, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, video, textiles, photography, theatre and drawing. As well as providing a supportive environment, the studios create opportunities for workshops, collaborative working and exhibiting.
