Each studio is self contained with whitewashed walls and plasterboard partitions; most spaces have plenty of natural light. The studio holders share a communal exhibition and work area, tea and coffee making facilities, toilets, sinks and cleaning equipment. Facilities include a screen printing press, and 3 phase wiring for electric kilns serves 7 of the studios.
How big are the studios, and how much?
All the studios are approx. 2.5m. wide, and vary in length from 4 to over 8m. Members share the running costs apportioned according to the size of their studio, so there are spaces to suit all budgets – from £45 to £100 per calendar month.

What about access and security?
All studios have 24/7 access. The building is shared with other businesses and features include secure entry keypads, swipe card barrier entry system to the car park and free on site parking

What’s included in the monthly payment?
Everything – rent, electricity, water rates, rates, buildings insurance, fire safety and maintenance. An extra charge is levied to individuals for high consumption of electricity eg. for firing kilns.
What are the contract terms?
Studio holders sign a simple agreement which sets out the terms and conditions, and pay their share of the costs by monthly standing order on the 28th of each month. A £30 advance deposit is also required, which is refundable when you leave. Two months notice is required should you wish to vacate your space and terminate your contract.

How do I apply?
Please contact the Studios to arrange to visit. We like to meet prospective members, and for you to see the spaces and understand how we operate. We can then put you on our waiting list.

If you are interested in viewing the Studios or joining the waiting list please contact Nancy Stedman on 01535 634 912.
